KYH SESSION SHEET / BASE

Conversational aerobic session

25–35 min · General adult education · Reviewed 31 October 2026

Before you start

General educational template; not a medical assessment or individualized elite coaching plan. Exact exercises, sets and week placement are KYH editorial choices informed by the linked principles. Not independently reviewed by a clinician.

These examples are for adults without symptoms or restrictions affecting exercise. Pain/injury, illness, pregnancy/postpartum or clinical restrictions need individual advice. Experienced templates require established technique and regular training. Use the pathway readiness check before matching a plan.

Stop for pain, dizziness, chest symptoms or unusual breathlessness. Urgent or severe symptoms need urgent local medical help. Do not push through symptoms.

Equipment
A familiar level walking route or stationary bicycle

Effort
Comfortable conversation throughout. If deliberately moderate, you can talk but not sing. Keep this easy when sport workload is high.

Prepare

5–8 min gradually increasing from easy walking or cycling.

Slow down or stop whenever needed. There is no target pace to chase.

  1. Familiar walking or cycling

    15–20 min

Choose a comfortable pace and predictable surface. Shorten the main portion if necessary.

Easier option: Take brief pauses or use shorter bouts at an easier pace.

Finish & reflect

5 min gradually slower movement.

Repeat familiar work before changing one variable modestly. Progress only when technique, comfort and recovery support it. Never pack missed sessions together.
