01

Everyday foundations

Varied meals with grains, pulses or other protein foods, vegetables and fruit.

02

Fuel the work you do

Carbohydrate for training, protein for recovery and food timing you can practise.

03

Preferences with context

Mixed, vegetarian and vegan options. Ingredient exclusions are visible; cross-contact still needs checking.

FROM KNOWLEDGE TO YOUR NEXT STEP

Build your food-first idea sheet

Choose everyday life, recreational sport or experienced training. Get ingredient-level examples, not a calorie target or medical diet. Long, hot and repeated sessions receive a practical preparation and tolerance worksheet.

01 A brief readiness check

These questions decide whether to show general examples or individual-care guidance. Your answers stay in this page and are cleared on reset or reload.

03 Ingredients to exclude

Select relevant allergies/exclusions, or leave unchecked if none. These filters check our listed ingredients only. Any food can cause allergy; unlisted allergies need individual checking. “Vegan” does not mean allergy-safe.

Read it. Do it. Record it.

PRACTICAL NUTRITION, WITHOUT THE HYPE

Keep the bigger picture.

01 / MEAL RHYTHM

Start with familiar food.

Rice or roti, dal or another protein food, vegetables and fruit can be building blocks. Portions and combinations depend on the person; a single menu does not establish nutritional adequacy.

02 / AROUND TRAINING

Practise, then perform.

An earlier familiar meal and, if wanted and tolerated, a smaller snack nearer training can help organise fueling. Try choices during training before event day. A normal meal can contribute to recovery.

03 / SUPPLEMENTS

Food first. Evidence next.

Supplements are not a substitute for adequate food. Athletes should check anti-doping requirements; batch testing reduces risk but cannot guarantee a product is free of prohibited substances.
